How to Use the DRIVEtheARC App

App Home - Map & Feature

Step 1
Map - Display the charging station pin in a close place from your vehicle on the app map.
Step 2
"Information" slide bar
The latest information will be informed and tap to go to the website.
Step 3
Pin - Types of station pins on the map.
DRIVEtheARC station - DC Fast charger Station discounts CHAdeMO Charging by NEDO.
EVgo station - DC Fast charger Station provided by EVgo.

Filter - Change the type of station pin.
 
(*) Gray colored pins are in use or failure.

Menu - Various information can be selected from the menu.

View the station’s availability & request navigation to the station

Step 1
Tap the pin to see the station information.
Step 2
Station - Evgo
Displays detailed information of the selected station.
Address, number of chargers, status
Step 3
Station - DRIVEtheARC
In addition, CHAdeMO vehicle users can get discounts on DRIVEtheARC Station.
Tap "Get PromoTicket" to get free charge.
Each charger scrolls and confirms, and tap the (i mark) at the top right of charger for more detailed information.
Step 4
Charger information
Charger peripheral photo, latitude and longitude location information (Tap to Google Map), Failure information report, Charging session history.
Step 5
Tap “Navigation to the Station” to start navigation to the destination via the selected station.
Step 6
Google Maps app is automatically launched and it navigates you to the station.

User Registration

Step 1
Launch the DRIVEtheARC app and click “Get Started”.
Step 2
Read “Terms of Service” carefully. To confirm your understanding and acceptance, click “Agree”.
Step 3
Read “Privacy Policy” carefully. To confirm your understanding and acceptance, click “Agree”.
Step 4
Fill in each field and click “Next”.
Step 5
Select your car make and model from the lists and click “Next”.
Step 6
Enter the charging station service information you are using and click “Next”.
Step 7
Your registration is successfully completed. select "Yes" and tap "Next" to register "NissanConnect Data Link" Or, select "No" and click "Next" to log in.
Step 8
Or, Open Menu and tap "Registration of NissanConnect Data Link Service".
Step 9
Enter VIN and Unit ID in the App form.
Step 10
Log in with the registered user ID and password.

Charge by Smartphone App at DRIVEtheARC Stations

Step 1
After you arrive at the station, launch the DRIVEtheARC app again and open the “Charge Activation” menu.
Step 2
Read the QR code on the charger screen. (*) Read the “How to Charge Your EV” in the website to see how to operate the Charger for Smartphone app’s charging.
Step 3
Charge activation is successful.
Step 4
Charging status is displayed on the map. The sign of “Charging” stays on the bottom of the screen until charging is completed.

Check your Cruising Range

Step 1
Tap the bottom of the main map to input your EV’s State of Charge (SOC).
Step 2
Tap the microphone icon or the button to “Input Manually” to input your EV’s State of Charge (SOC) by voice or keypad.
Step 3
If the State of Charge (SOC) is correct, click “OK”.
Step 4
SOC is updated. You can always update your SOC by tapping here.
Step 5
Click the above icon to display your cruising range.

Find recommended station on the way to the destination

Step 1
Input your destination.
Step 2
Your destination is set up. Click “Recommended Stations” to find the recommended stations on the way to the destination.
Step 3
The recommended stations are shown on the map. Click the station name you want to use. If you tap a pin on the map, the station information will be displayed.
Step 4
Click “Navigation” to start navigation to the destination via the selected station.
Step 5
Google Maps app is automatically launched and it navigates you to the destination via the station you selected.

Charger Reservation by Smartphone App at DRIVEtheARC Station

Step 1
Select Pacific Pearl Station on MAP and press reservation button of DC2.
Step 2
Select the scheduled charging time slot.
Step 3
Please read the contents of the reserved charger and disclaimer, press Reserve button.
Step 4
Reservation time is displayed in the upper right of MAP, and when tapped it transits to reservation details screen.
Notes
Charging can be started 10 minutes before reservation time.
When you arrive at the charging station, please select Menu> Charge Activation and start charging by reading the QR code displayed on the charger.

Please move the car promptly when reservation time is over.

Charging Congestion Status
View recent charger usage and forecasts.

Actual usage summary of selected station.

Use history of your "Navigate to the Station".

How to check the VIN(Vehicle Identification Number) by LEAF

Vehicle identification plate is at the lower left of the front shield.

VIN is printed on Vehicle identification plate.

How to check the Unit ID by operating the car navigation system (LEAF 11MY-15MY)

Step 1
Please operate car navigation system. Touch "CARWINGS" in the first menu.
Step 2
Next, Touch "CARWINGS Settings".
Step 3
Next, Scroll the screen.
Step 4
Next, Touch "Unit ID Information".
Step 5
Please enter the number displayed on the screen to the App.
