How to Use the App
Launch the DRIVEtheARC app and click “Get Started”.
Read “Terms of Service” carefully. To confirm your understanding and acceptance, click “Agree”.
Fill in each field and click “Next”.
Select your car make and model from the lists and click “Next”.
Enter the charging station service information you are using and click “Next”.
Your registration is successfully completed. Click “OK” to log in.
Log in with the registered user ID and password.
Check your Cruising Range
Tap the bottom of the main map to input your EV’s State of Charge (SOC).
Tap the microphone icon or the button to “Input Manually” to input your EV’s State of Charge (SOC) by voice or keypad.
If the State of Charge (SOC) is correct, click “OK”.
SOC is updated. You can always update your SOC by tapping here.
Click the above icon to display your cruising range.
Definition of each area divided by color
Blue Area: Affordable range to go with the current battery level
Yellow Area: Cruising range supposed to reach with the current battery level
Red Area: Range likely out of reach
View the station’s availability & request navigation to the station
Tap the pin to see the station information
Definition of Map Pins
(*) Gray colored pins are unavailable sations.
The station information is displayed. Click “Navigate to the Station” if you want to request navigation.
General information of the charging station is shown in the upper pane.
Each charger’s information is shown in the middle. Swipe the screen to see all chargers in the station.
The “FREE!” discount ticket will be appeared for CHAdeMO users in DRIVETHEARC station information.
Google Maps app is automatically launched and it navigates you to the station.
Find recommended station on the way to the destination
Input your destination.
Your destination is set up. Click “Recommended Stations” to find the recommended stations on the way to the destination.
The recommended stations are shown on the map. Click the station name you want to use. If you tap a pin on the map, the station information will be displayed.
Click “Navigation” to start navigation to the destination via the selected station.
Google Maps app is automatically launched and it navigates you to the destination via the station you selected.
Charge by Smartphone App at DRIVETHEARC Stations
After you arrive at the station, launch the DRIVETHEARC app again and open the “Charge Activation” menu.
Read the QR code on the charger screen. (*) Read the “How to Charge Your EV” in the website to see how to operate the Charger for Smartphone app’s charging.
Charge activation is successful.
Charging status is displayed on the map. The sign of “Charging” stays on the bottom of the screen until charging is completed.
